Key concepts

Workspace, brand, automation, locked and editable, credits: the Masstock vocabulary.

A few notions come up everywhere in Masstock. Here they are, in one sentence each, then in detail.

WorkspaceYour account: plan, seats, billing.
BrandA brand identity and its creative assets.
AutomationA complete, ready-to-use production workflow.
ConfigurationAn automation set up for one use, reusable.
Locked, editableWhat stays fixed, what changes on each run.
BatchA run that produces several outputs at once.
CreditThe platform's unit of consumption.

Workspace and brands

The workspace holds your plan, seats and billing. It can contain several brands. Each brand holds its creative assets: logos, palette, fonts, tone, legal notices and products. A team or an agency manages several brands from one workspace.

Automations and configurations

An automation runs a specific production workflow, from input to output: for example turning a 2D plan into interior visuals.

A configuration is an automation set up for your use. Every saved configuration uses one active automation slot: 1 on Individual, 5 on Team, unlimited on Enterprise. The same automation with two configurations uses two slots.

Locked and editable

Each parameter of a configuration has a mode:

  • Locked: set once, identical on every run. For example the avatar and tone of a UGC video.
  • Editable: chosen on every run. For example the product being featured.

That is how you keep brand consistency while varying what should vary.

Batches and processing

A batch produces several outputs in one run. It is processed in the background and delivered within minutes to a few hours, depending on volume. Priority processing moves it to the front of the queue and uses twice the credits.

Credits

Every generation uses credits. Their dollar equivalent is shown before every run, and a failed generation is never charged. Details in Credits and billing.
